The annual Indian summer rains, which have been on a slow down in recent years, will once again begin in September, according to the National Weather Service.
The last time it happened was in 2008.

The previous one was caused by heavy rains in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, which caused extensive damage to crops.
The weather service said that the first rain of the year will come between 8am and 12pm on Friday.
“We will see rainfall during the day and a few hours after midnight,” said Shamsuddin Bhatti, head of meteorology at the weather bureau. “
